That one must have hit a nerve...

Hmmmm...

Requests for thoughts on James 5:12 followed by complete and utter silence. I guess that one hit.

Let me take this opportunity to apologize to anyone who has had a flat tire or car trouble or a broken appliance this week. Apparently Sunday's sermon on dealing with difficulties and trouble righteously was a tad prophetic. I've heard several stories about people experiencing trouble already this week.

A friend had to make 2 trips to drop the kids of at day care because he forgot the bottles, then a day or two later, the washing machine broke. At one point I used a flat tire as an illustration of a negative situation we have to deal with in life. One family has had 2 flat tires so far this week...oops!

This could possibly develop into a pattern, so to be prepared, I'm taking a poll on what I should inadvertantly mention in this week's sermon, hoping that it will follow in real life. A few ideas to get your mind in gear:

- finding $ in the grocery store parking lot
- finding out you have an extra week of vacation you weren't planning on
- gas prices dip below $2.00 a gallon :)
- NYPD Blue is coming back on the air to replace American Idol
- temperatures to stay in the mid-80's through August
- the shaved head look becomes stylish and chique

Ok - bring 'em on!

Until next time - RevPhil

Okay RevPhil, I'll be honest it did hit a nerve. In fact, Dwain and I had a discussion about it. Having a little one mimic your every word puts things into perspective 24/7, and your message spoke volumes. Thank you for this sermon!

Hoping for a drop in gas prices . . .

Glad your prophecy isn't 100% accurate! HA!
